The brackets on the hanger use to be metal , now plastic and split upon screwing down,so don't over tighten.

We purchased this keyboard shelf as it was almost $100 less than comparable shelves. It installed relatively easily and has an integrated mousepad. Overall, it has worked well since we installed it.
